Some are there on purpose to prevent bad outcomes, some are issues that we still need to address, but most go unnoticed by many of us. This is the world of public health; a science of understanding the countless forces and designing solutions to help prevent or mitigate harm and improve the health and well-being of the people. The Last of Us, the TV show adaptation for the popular video game of the same name, featured the less typical fungal infection zombie apocalypse. It has everything, from a stellar cast, a gripping plot, excellent acting, tension, tears, and thought provoking moral dilemmas. But you know what it doesn't have? Public health.
